- Once I clone it will I be able to boot it from Samsung 970 EVO - NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 SSD after I change the boot option from BIOS?

The HP Quickspecs document says slots 4, 5 and 3 in order of preference but no explanation of why.
The HP Installation manual says slots 4 and 5 only.
I would like to move it to slot 3 from slot 4, assuming that slot 4 supports "PCIe port bifurcation " but bifurcation is separate issue that I need to research.
I have the 512GB Z Turbo Drive G2 installed in slot 4 as the boot drive, as it came from HP.

I've 2x Z200 motherboards purchased from eBay resellers. Both power off (not a shutdown - a switch off) at exactly 30 minutes after power on. This happens in both BIOS or in Windows.
I suspect that Intel Management Engine is the root cause.
Tips towards solution appreciated
I bought a new Z2 Mini G4 recenntly which is currently running Ubuntu 18.10 and I realize the PCH temperature is rather high (around 80 C- 90 C) even after I have updated to the latest BIOS (Version: Q50 Ver. 01.01.08, Firwmware Revision 7.180).
When the load is low/close to idle, the CPU temperature is around 45 C, GPU temperature around 50 C but the PCH Temperature is around 90 C. Despite the PCH temperature is at 90C, the fan seems to be running at low speed.

The motherboard used is HP 8458 but I didn't manage to find any product specification online. The motherboard seems to be based on Intel's C246 Chipset? However, when I stress load the CPU to 100%, the CPU temperature increases to the range of 85C - 90C and with the fan speen ramped up, the PCH temperature droped to 70C - 80C. It appears to me that the fan controller doen't take into account of the PCH temperature?

I have a Proliant 3000 server (manual here: http://h20628.www2.hp.com/km-ext/kmcsdirect/emr_na-c00190561-1.pdf) and I was wondering whether it would be possible to take out the internals and replace with normal PC components. I thought it might be a cool case to "mod" but maybe it would be better to mod a conventional case. Does the Proliant 3000 motherboard conform to some standard dimensions and mounting hole positions?

I have a z420 with Windows 10, I put in PCi expres slot an NVME 960 evo with adapter. This is a non bootable disk, all god but not happy with the speed wich are actualy lower than 950 evo SATA.
My question is this actualy the desing limit, I've seen other talking about 1-2 GB data transfer, I have in this configuration 400 MB (read). I use this one to store VM's

I'm trying to get Optane memory working on a Z2 G4. I have a 16Gig installed with the latest firmware. The Z2 G4 has the latest BIOS. Intel RST sees the Optane Memory, but it won't let me enable it.
Is there anything special I need to do, such as a specific BIOS setting?
Hi - We have deployed HP Device Manager 4.7 SP10 - and have received a number of T530 thin clients we wish to standardise and update. They arrive with Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB Version 1607 OS Build 14393.2311 - as per organisation requirements.
We have since redeployed the image Imported from HP Update Center - image 17WWETAJ603_ABA_1019.ibr "Win10IoT Image 17WWETAJ603 English (Sept 2017)". This version is the only English version available - resulting Image Version in HP DM is 17WWETAJ603#SABA#DABA - Noted that the devices seemed to ship with with a mixture of 17WWETBJ601#SABG#DABG and 17WWETBJ602#SABG#DABG. Anyway - the issue is -
We Imported the KB4462917 update from HP Update Center. It cannot deploy.
The Error is 0x800f081e The specified package is not applicable to this image.
I think the package is applicable - the reason being:
*** The update worked once on this same T530 with the out of box image 602 (if I recall correctly it was originally 602 but not now) and did not at all work with 601 I.e. I deployed simultaneously to two devices - this 602 subject device worked, the current 601 device did not.
So in summary, currently we have the same problem with two images:
A) an out-of-box 17WWETBJ601 image
B) an HP Update Center 17WWETAJ603 image
Can anyone advise what I should do?

I have a dozen new T530 Thin clients that I need to image and roll out, after capturing the image to a USB using the onboard HP Imaging tool, I loaded it onto the next machine sucessfully with no errors on the new machine at all. When connecting the newly imaged machine to Terminal Server 2016 I am greeted with a licencing error as follows. Note: this is only appearing on the machines that I have imaged from a USB

I am using Z8 Workstation!
As soon as I started using Z8 to simulate ANSYS, I knew this works had some problems!
1. CPU temperature is so high! over 95 celsius!
2. Fan noise is so noisy!
3. Z8 did rebooting randomly! During ANSYS simulation, Z8 did rebooting abruptly!
I bought that 1 month ago, until now rebooting is over 10 times!
I think Z8 has some inherent defects!
HP must ban selling Z8, refund Z8 already sold!

A friend of mine has a Z230 workstation, it has 3 onboard display ports but they appear to be disabled as it came with a Nvidia Quadro video card.
Is this true, If he wants to run 3 monitors on the Z230, would I need to remove the quadro card??
By doing that does the onboard video automatically become available??
He is currently running 2 montors on the quadro card.
