Hello, Im Thomas a new to the forum. Why is it when i connect my (Z220 SFF PC) to my receiver from the display port and play a movie all is well but If I leave and go to another device and come back, th sound is gone and the picture may be gone or just not responsive. I have 3 other devices connected thru the receiver HDMI to HDMI and i can leave each device and come back to it and its working perfectly..... For some reason the displayport to hdmi will not hold the handshake.... Also, if the PC goes into sleep mode and i try to connect it, it just will not connect.. I have to restart the PC to start all over again... Do I need a low profile HDMI video card so it can stay connected like all my other devices.... Frustrated here.. Was wanting to get my Plex started.. Thanks for any help PLEASE

Hello HP experts,
Please advise on how should I position 2x Stick of 4GB total of 8gb in my Z400 workstation (6 dimms)
base on the link below that Z400 is a three-channel design and I should first filling the black slots and then filling the white slots.

But I don't see an example for a 2 sticks of 4GB...

Boots take 10+ minutes
Basically, whenever the workstation needs to be restarted, the monitors will blink in power saving mode for 10+ minutes and then suddenly, there's the splash screen and we're up and running without any sort of issues.
I've tried various monitors and cables, ran complete hardware diagnostics, reset bios back to default. updated all drivers and bios, reviewed and applied the appropriate solutions to any and all event log error ids. Not sure where to go from here.

Me firmware problems on z420
Hi! I'm trying to update the mei firmware on the workstation, but it fails. If i try to flash in dos it give me the error "cannot locate me device driver", in windows the me devide has an error code 10 and the driver not start (so the update can'to go on). In bios if i go in the system information menu for get the me version, i have a blank field. Before trying to update the me firmware i've updated the bios firmware. Was 1.02, done the update to 1.23, and finally to the last one. What i can try to do? Thanks!

HP Z1 BIOS upgrde will not install
Hi Guys
My Z1 has BIOS J52v2.71 installed on 19-11-2014.
Today I tried to upgrade it to the current BIOS 2.75RevA; download seemed OK but when I tried to install exe file sp84164 it aborted and I got an error message - Windows cannot find ‘iexplore’. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.
Obviously I had not typed anything. I use Firefox as my browser, not Internet Explorer.
What should I do now?

HP Z240 Tower Workstation documentation on PCIe slots
I recently purchaced a factory referb HP Z240 Tower Workstation(i7-6700) and want to install a graphics card and an eSATA card.
I am looking at the "HP Z240 Workstation Maintenance and Service Guide.pdf" file on page 50, Chapter 3 "Component replacement information and guidelines" and it appears that the documentation for which PCIe slot is which is wrong (reversed). Can someone at HP confirm my suspisions please?

Thin Client T520 upgrade SSD above 64Gb
I have successfully installed Linux Mint 64bit on Thin Client T520 machine but it is only equipped with 16Gb M.2 SSD.
According to the specifications it could only go up to as far as 64Gb, but this was in the year 2014 where there was no M.2 SSD higer then 64gb.

HP Z800 lost half its ram
I have a HP Z800 with dual processors and 12 gig ram as issued directly from HP. It has 12x 1mb RAM modules and suddenly I lost 6mb.
I have removed and reseated all ram modules. I also removed both prosessors and replaced with new heatsink paste but no change.
I tested all RAM modules by swapping them around with no change.
Everything is pointing to dead slots on the MB those across Processor 1.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Boot-Verzögerung durch ActivBoard im USB-Anschluss
We are having problems with our pcs an the connected promethean activboards V3 78 Zoll. During Boot-process the pc is trying to boot with the board as source, although usb-boot is disabled.
i tryed several bios versions, and i am having the newest version on some pcs.
i bought new usb cables
the firmware of the activboard is newest
please fix this problem in a future bios update. or tell me how to encounter this promblem on my own.

EliteDesk 800 G2 SFF Update Intel ME Firmware
Hallo,
I have issues with my EliteDesk 800 G2 SFF. Sometimes it doenst wake up from standby and / or doesnt boot corretly.
I read here: ( https://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c05306753 ) that using the latest Bios and an older ME FW can cause these kind of problems. Also, I like to have a newer ME FW for security reasons.
So, I am running BIOS 02.28 Rev.A and WIn 10 1709.
MEbx Version: 11.0.0.0005
ME Driver Version 11.7.0.1045
At https://support.hp.com/de-de/drivers/selfservice/hp-elitedesk-800-g2-small-form-factor-pc/7633277 there are two files that are supposed to contain ME FW Updates:
sp82476: Intel Corporate Management Engine (ME) Firmware Component 11.8.50.3425 Rev.A
Which contains the newest ME FW and is supposed to work unter x64 OS.
But I get this:

HP Thunderbolt-2 PCIe 1-port I/O Card F3F43AT !!!! Windows 10 Driver ???
Hi
I have a Thunderbolt card on the way , it is a F3F4AT.
I have looked at the HP site and tried to install the thundebolt driver/software but it wont install. It stops during installation and states only compatible with windows 7 or 8.
Look i know there must be a work around as win 10 and teh latest bios on the z820 are ready for this card.
Can someone please save me some time and assist with where i might find a driver that will work ? maybee the z840 win 10 thunderbolt driver 15.2.35.250 Rev.B
Is there a way to somehow install the HP thundebolt driver a workaround maybee?

Has the part number for the front bezel on xw4400 workstation been superseeded to 325658-001
Trying to replace the front bezel which I found is 434647-001 325658-001. The last number is the same part number for xw4100/4600. Is 325658-001 the superseeded part number to fit my xw4400?

Windows 10 IOT not activated after System-Recovery
from time to time, we had to reset / update some of our thinclients ( mt20 / mt21 ) to the current version of windows 10 IoT. After downloading and applying to USB-Stick true HP Thinupdate, the restore from stick runs without errors. but windows is no longer activated and the activation fails with the following error:
We can't activate Windows on this device because the product key was already used on another device. if you think it wasn't used on another device, select troubleshoot below. error code: 0xC004C008
how can we re-activate our thinclients after systemrestore ? The thinclients are never connected to the corporate network, they operate outside the company and getting access true webportal over internet.

Why Were z840 BIOS Revisions 2.39 and 2.40 Removed From Downloads?
A troubleshome Windows 10 update at the end of January forced me to rebuild the SYS partition from scratch. In the process of trying to avoid having to do that, I had updated all the drivers and the BIOS from the "Software and Drivers" page for z840, Windows 10. One of the downloads was SP84968 which contained the flashing utilities to bring the BIOS to rev 2.40. (I was running 2.38 at the time, and getting "Trusted Platform" errors in event log with MS advice to contact the hardware vendor for a BIOS upgrade to eliminate the security vulnerability.)
I am now running version 2.40, have rebuilt the SYS partition and went to check to make sure no further updates since that one (which I got and installed on 02/14/2018) had not been posted. Lo and behold, that SP - BIOS 2.40 update - had been removed from the downloads area, and so had v 2.39, both of which had, according to the release history in SP84968, were to address the TPI issues I was seeing in the Windows Event Log.
Why were they rescinded, and am I now supposed to somehow downgrade two revs and go back to a slew of TPI errors in the event log?
