habe bei einem Rechner das Problem das ein User ein BIOS PW vergeben hat und dieses niemand mehr weiß. Ich habe von meinem Kollegen erfahren das er von Ihnen in so einem Fall schon mal ein Tool bekam um das BIOS PW zurückzusetzen. Könnten Sie mir bitte dabei behilflich sein?

HPDM : HP ThinClients WinPE not able to initialize network adapters
Hi All,
In the middle of implementing HPDM at a customer location. Using a server in a DC and a NAS onpremise for a local repository. Repositories setup succesfully and tests are succesfull.
Image Capture was succesfully, but pushing an image does not work. We keep getting this error on HPDM:
Failed to execute DeployImage task.

After logging in to the T630 and inspecting the wpeinit.log the following error shows up:

I am looking for a way to solve this issue. I asume i need to update some drivers? I found the winPE.tar.gz in the repository WESTools. But i cant imagine i have to update this one.
We are using HPDM 4.7 SP8.

HP Thin Clients Dual Role as USB-C Laptop Docks?

No sure if this is the right forum to post this on but would appreciate some help or a direction.
Simple question. I just wanted to ask if anyone knows of a Thin-Client PC's option (such as the T530) could also be used as USB-C Docks for laptops.
The Use Case:

Exploring the idea of going VDI/DaaS across the board, there may always still be a use case for laptops such as the Elitebook x360.
Rather than having to have different deployment setups for different compute models (laptop hotdesks with USB-C Docks and Thin-Client hot desks for VDI), I was wondering whether thin clients such as the T530 could be deployed across all desks yet also serve as a USB-C dock for laptops to connect to and leverage the relevant connectivity, e.g. multiple monitors, USB hub for mouse/keyboard, etc. It would simplify the deployment model and mean a single device could be set on every desk which can support both user models.
Any ideas or suggestions on the viability? Happy to be pointed anywhere this has already been discussed (not been able to find it through search myself). Appreciate the help

DriveLock
Hello,
like several other people here I have problems with/because of DriveLock.
Back in 2005 I bought myself a brand new nw8240 mobile workstation, so nobody except me tampered with it. Recently I wanted to put the original Hitachi TravelStar HDD back in, and suddenly it's asking me for the DriveLock password. But I'm not aware of having ever set one (otherwise I'd been asked for the password at boot up).
It get's more cuirious as sometimes it's asking me for the "HDD bay password" and sometimes for the "multibay password" along with an "1782 disk controller failure" in the beginning. I double checked BIOS, and everything security related is turned of.
The current HDD I'm using doesn't show this behaviour, so the controller must be OK. That seems to be normal behaviour for a locked HDD.
Since trying to unlock the HDD with MHDD didn't work either (I figured out a password that returned OK, and could send it the ATA unlock command using the drive manufacturers master password...) I bought a brand new HDD. When I put the new HDD in it also asked me for a password!? I could confirm it by just pressing the return key, but I couldn't disable asking me for the password (I know it's in the BIOS).
Since the nw8240 is working perfectly aside of this DriveLock issue I'm not willing to throw it away, and would VERY much appreciate if somebody would tell me how this can be fixed. I'm an engineer, and don't shun to fiddle with the electronics etc. And I'm not trying to hack into someone's HDD just my own. I'd be willing to send it to HP if necessary, but I'm located in Austria thus gues it would be costly.

800 G3 mini dual monitor issue with LA2405wg
Hello, I've had an HP partner login for a few years but haven't posted in the forums before. Anyway the problem we have been seeing with the 800 G3 Mini 65W when running dual monitors. This computer only has display ports in the back and when we connected dual monitors, one of them kept flickering and going black for a few seconds. The monitor having the issues is an HP LA2405wg and the monitor working fine is an HP E240. When the LA2405 monitor is the only one connected, it works fine as it did when it was connected to the 8300 USDT which is the old computer. We updated the video driver to version 21.20.16.4720 and the BIOS to 2.15 which did not help. We put the LA2405 on a display port to VGA adapter and it started working ok. We ended up replacing the LA2405 with a E240 monitor so we could run straight display port cables on both monitors.
A few days later I experienced this issue with another G3 computer running dual monitors but the screen having the problem in this case was a Dell model P2417H and the second screen was an HP LA2405. The Dell monitor running solo works fine, I used a display port to vga adapter on the HP monitor and the Dell screen started working normal.

Got a computer from the job but I have no installtion disc, but I have the serial number for Windows. How do I remove everything and do a clean install?
I have tried to push F8 when I start the computer and choose repair but after that I need to have the password for the computer that I don't have.

Where to get most recent bios for older equipment (HP xw8600)
Sorry if this is aready posted here some where. My searches failed to find it and trying to use that pages where you insert equipment name and etc ends up just telling me there is no software available for my equipment.

Z1 workstation Gen 1 Display backlight problem
The right part of my display is darker than the left.
Screen graphics is stil OK.
Attached second HP Display E272q is also OK.
so probably no NVIDIA problems
Backlight issue?
Has anyone made repairs on backlights or backlight inverter to overcome this issue?
Report or other help is welcome, as Z1 Gen 1 and Gen2 are one of the best AiO, you can have.

BIOS Update to enable SGX Version 2 on HP Z240
Hello,
I am trying to enable Intel SGX Version 2(see SGX2 Docs) on the HP Z240 Workstation.
The Intel Core i7-6700 supports SGX, but it also needs to be enabled in the BIOS configuration.
I deployed the latest BIOS update:
1.66 Rev.A (01/25/2018)
But still, querying CPUID with EAX=12H indicates that opcodes of SGX2 instructions are not supported.
Will the next BIOS update enable SGX Version 2? When will this update be released?
Is it even possible to enable Version 2 via BIOS update, or will it only be supported on new Intel hardware?

Power cord spec of HP ProDesk 400 G3 Desktop Mini PC

We are using HP ProDesk 400 G3 Desktop Mini PC and have a question about power cord spec.
I would like to use this power cord with AC208V in the US.
Power supply spec says "Rated voltage range 100 – 240 VAC" however the power cord plug looks like for AC100V.

hp split 13 x2 battery BOTH not charging
hey i have an hp split 13 x2 intel 3 core both batteries dont charge but it powers up when connected to an adapter when i plug it in it the LED beside it lights up white solid then goes to for a couple of seconds then back to solid white any idea on how i could fix this?

How to copy Image from Sharder drive on to USB drive to image multiple thin clients
I currently manage a GOLD image for T510 & T520 Thin Clients, to do this I create an image and capture it with HP ThinUpdate. Once completed this then gets copied to a shared drive. This image can then be copied to a new USB stick that is bootable and is then used to image the relevant Thin Clients.
My Issue is that I have tried to do the same with the T530 image, however HP have changed the way they format the USB drive into 2 drives, One contains all the boot files and the other contains the flash.ibr file.
On a Windows 10 PC I can see both of these as seperate drives, but if I try to copy the files over to another USB drive (that has been formated using Thin Update) then when I come to use the image it fails at 0% stating that it can't find the Flash.IBR file, even though it reports that it has found it when booting up the Thin Client with the USB stick installed.
So what i'm tring to do is:
1. Upload the image to a shared drive.
2. Copy this image to another USB stick.
3. Use the USB stick to install the image on a new T530 thin client.
Hopefully some one can help with this issue.
