HP BD-RE BU20N used to be able to write dual-layer DVDs as late as last week. Now, it gets through 9.5minutes of a reported 10 minute burn cycle when Windows throws an alert sayint the write has failed and the media may be unuseable (which it is). Write attempt made from Windows (10 Pro 64-bit) File Explorer. The only thing that changed was an update from BIOS 2.45 to 2.46 for the motherboard which I don't think should have impacted the BD-RE device. There doesn't appear to be any related event in the event log.
Also wondering if this unit is compatible with and possibly in need of SP84641"HLDS BU40N Optical Drive Firmware Update".
