Hi,
I am trying to change BIOS settings via HPDM by using BCU following new version but after reboot setting not get effected. Even tried one version old.
BIOS new version:
4.0.25.1 sp88497 06/21/2018
In the command added /log option to see the log file where i didn't find any error:
SUCCESS msg="No errors occurred
REBOOT msg="Reboot required to perform BIOS settings updates.May need a shutdown if settings not take effect
In the new verison of BCU it says, if reboot doesn't effect then shutdown, but i have to do remotely in different sites in more number of clients. if i shutdown then how to restart remotely that is the big deal.
Copy the BCU file in the c:\temp folder of the client.
Command:
cd C:\TEMP
BiosConfigUtility64.exe /get:"c:\temp\get.txt" /log
After changing the setting in the get.txt file then saved as set.txt
cd C:\TEMP
BiosConfigUtility64.exe /set:"c:\temp\set.txt" /log
when successfully executed without any error, the rebbot the device after reboot setting didn't get effected.
Even tried to to set only particular value by following command:
BiosConfigUtility64.exe /setvalue:”UMA Frame Buffer Size ”,”512M”
After rebbot nothing effect, if try to get config it gives new value vlaue but its not set or implemented even tried to remotely login to client and directly performing there.
