Thinclient RDP blocky graphics

I am working on updating our virtual machine systems from Windows 7 to Windows 10, all of them are hosted on Server 2016 with SCVMM managing it all.  I'm running to several problems, so am splitting them out to one per forum post.

These thin clients are running Thin Pro, 5.2 When connecting to a VM, the screen has many large fuzzy blocks on it.  Sometimes they go away, sometimes they stay.  The same problem is on both t510 and the t620.

I've been told that disabling remoteFX has fixed this before, when we are using a Windows 7 VM. But changing the remoteFX from 1 to 0 on connecint to Windows 10 it fails on the certificate, finally saying "Verify Result: Unable to get local issuer certificate". When looking at the cert, it shows as valid.

While I'm still working on the kinks of the back-end PKI, from what I can tell our Intermediate Root CA is correctly issuing valid RDP auto-enroll certs to these VMs. The thin client itself says the cert is "valid" when I look at it on the thin client. The popup says “Warning: Certificate chain of trust verification failed” however the cert itself has a valid chain back to the root CA. Setting remoteFX to 1 and this error goes away, setting it to 0 and the RDP won't connect at all with "RDP Client Error: Could not create connection".

I've read over all the manuals I can find, and find no solution.
