I am looking at the HP Z4 newest workstations, and I see they come with the NEW OS - Windows 10 PRO for Workstations, not the standard 10 PRO . . . So I decided to see what was so different about it and how it will benefit me.
Has anyone had any experience with this OS or the Z4 product line yet?
SO, there is a Blog on the subject
https://blogs.windows.com/business/2017/08/10/microsoft-announces-windows-10-pro-workstations/
and in it states there are 4 main improvements. Great, however it goes on to say that in order to benefit, the hardware needs to meet the requirements in order to reap the full benefits of the software. The first one, I am not sure about, as we use our servers for our data, and not sure if it applies in that way, but the last 3 items all have hardware requirements that these Z4's do not seem to possess.
On top of that, this OS is also at a premium most likely $300 to $500 some reports say.
I am trying to find out if this new OS will truly be an improvement with using it on a NEW spec'd Z4 machine.
I have been told by my IT professionals that it will, but I don’t see how.
Enlightenment please.
