We have selected t620 WSE thin clients to be used as eventual replacement units for our 65+ older HP thin clients.
We have set up just a handful at this time and have them on our production floor. We set remote desktop session limits to disconnect after 6 hours, then to log off 2 hours after that in order to minimize un-used sessions and to allow for installing and updating our custom apps. We had managed the timeout settings first, for a long time, through user set up in AD with our 2003 terminal server, but now after upggrading to 2012 r2 RDP server, through a user-based group policy, which all of the older HP and Wyse Windows CE thin clients obey perfectly.
Every one of the t620 WSE clients refuse to obey the session limit settings, and never disconnect their sessions...does anyone have any thoughts or insight as to why they are stubborn like this?
Thanks for any thoughts.
