We're testing a group of ProDesk 400 G3 Mini's to see how they could perform as a desktop replacement machines.
We have 3 basic use scenarios: 1) Exectiives with laptops, 2) Senior staff with desktops, currently HP 8x00 SFF mini towers, and 3) general staff currently using t5740 and t6xx series thin clients connecting to a Citrix session.
Our thin clients are already in the process of being migrated away from Windows Embedded XP to ThinPro 5.2, and we have a few test systems with ThinPro 6.2 (64-bit).
We'd like to see about combining the 2nd and 3rd use-case by using ProDesk 400 G3 mini's. For senior staff, we'd continue with a Win10 OS, but for general staff we'd like to use ThinPro 6.2 and connect via Citrix to our servers.
The base install of ThinPro went very smoothly, but we're getting hung up on the video display. The 400's have a single VGA and a Display port output for dual displays, but we can only get basic mirroring, not a spanned desktop.
We think it has to do withe the drivers installed, but obvously with ThinPro, installing addtional drivers is not a simple process as the Debian repositories are not configured, compliers are missing, etc...
Any pointers that anyone can suggest?
