Hard drive immenent failure on raid 0 that has only 1 physical SAS drive. I ordered 2x 1tb sata!

I'm just learning about how to deal with raid systems.  When my drive stopped booting I assume because of smart recognizing immenent failure in the drive.  I ordred 2x 1tb HP gold drives from Newegg that were sata.  After having difficulty working with the SAS and SATA drives together, I started reading articles on how ACS doesn't work in this type of setup.  I was hoping I would be able to pop in one of the drives and have it duplicate the bad drive, pop the old bad SAS drive out and put in the second 1TB sata HP gold drive in and have it set to RAID 0.  This was probably wishfull thinking but any assistance on how I would be able to recover the data, preverably preserving the settings so I don't have to reload Windows would be optimal, but I'd be happy if I were able to even get the data at this point.  Am I going to have to order another SAS drive to make things work?
