Hi all,
Searched everyhting but no one has come up with any decent answer, not even in these forums, nevertheless trying again.
Have about 50 Z840 WS all delivered with integrated Hp PCIe Thunderbold 2 card. Installed Windows 10 pro/64 + drivers from the HP website (sp74948).
tried to hookup simple LACIE drive (working any all computers/macs we have here.....)
windows bling shound - but drives not showing up in explorer nor in dreaded thundebolt software.
we installed the TB driver version from the HP website - which should apparently be 15.2.35.250, however the installed software and device manager are showing 15.2.34.12 as driver version.... tried to uninstall and reinstall without success.
When connecting a drive I get this error in device manager under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers - a second Standard SATA AHCI Controller pops up and has this error :
This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)
If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system.
Have bios in tunderbolt legacy mode, any other mode does not help either....
The system has a Zturbo drive G3 quad and only a CDROM. SAS and e-Sata controllers are disabled, so should be plenty of ports/resources.
This whole thing is driving us nuts why this has to be so much hassle and why is there so no straight answer from HP support on similar question I found....
HP- HELP PLEASE!
