I have been running Windows 10 and also Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and Ubuntu 17.04 and all of them has the same random issue. Sometimes the display starts to make this very high volume siren sound which will wake up the dead.

I have been blaming so far the Acer B276HK display, as no bios beep codes for Z620 matches that sound, but would you have any other further knowledge, if I am blaming the wrong guy here and there is something wrong with Z620 itself what I have in-use. Obviously I have raised an issue ticket with Acer about this, but while waiting for their reply, your
So far the workaround is to either
- power-cycle the display or
- detact-attach the displayport cable back.
This has been happening with 4k@60Hz via DisplayPort. Ideas, opinions?
