Hello,
we have a First Contact Task, which will install our custom profile with some other settings and plugins.
All works fine but not in one location.
We get every time we install a factory new T620 with ThinPro 5.2 following error in our HPDM protocols:
2016-11-18 09:27:37 [Fehlercode: 1083392] [Modul: Agent] [Kategorie: Anderer HPDM-Workflow-Fehler]
2016-11-18 09:27:37 [Fehlerdetails]: ../../Task/common/ProfileTask.cpp@112: Failed to import the profile
2016-11-18 09:27:37 Ausführen von common-Task fehlgeschlagen.
Fehlercode = Error code
Anderer HPDM-Workflow-Fehler = Other HPDM-Workflow-Error
If we assign the same task manually on the same client it works.
I have switched the repository, build a new first contact task but without any success.
Any idea what I can do?
Kind regards
Lukas
Dear all,

In my z800 I'm trying to add an pcie SATA controler JMicronJMB363 card. It have an eSATA port that I need. Sometimes I this card is detected in the boot and I can use it in my Debian OS.
However, most of times that pcie card is not detected when workstation boots and I can't use it in my Debian OS.
The card was removed from a fully working system and I've test it in another PC (not HP) and it works perfectly.
There is somebody with similar issue? Can anyone help me with this problem?
I've cleaned the card connectors, changed the pcie slot on the motherboard, etc, but it just works a few times.
It seems a random behavior.
Thanks in advance
I am a bit tired of the terrible support HP provides (which is practicaly none). Recently, I just had a simple question about needing to find out what kind of graphics card I should buy and HP wanted to charge me for the answere before selling me a GPU. To make a long story short, I am looking for another brand of computer. Any suggestions?
I lives in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I want to make a custome workstation. Is there any chance to get the custome workstation? If possible then how can i get this?
My Elite 8000 Ultra Small computer has a small problem.
The network cable connector keeps blinking, even when the computer is shutdown.
Any remedy??

Mine HP-8300 Raid 1 PC is showing Memory Test failed and Failure ID is 9G86TQ-0008A6-X87SWK-005003.
Kindly look out the problem and guide me to solve the issue.
I purchased an HP ZR2740W new from Microcenter at the end of 2013. Serial number CNT323W15H, I still have the receipt. According to HP's website, the warranty just expired on the 15th.
I had an accident last night, and scratched the surface of the display pretty badly. There is white showing through the scratch when black is displayed.
I was wondering what my repair / replacement options are through HP support. Thank you.
I returned home from vacation to find my HP z800 powered off, and attempting to power on intermittently. Initial suspect was the PSU, and seems to be the case from reading other posts. Removing the PSU and plugging it directly to the wall causes the fans to spin for a second then fail.
The original PSU is 1100W (P/N 480794-003). There are currently six WD Red Pro HDDs in the system that I plan on moving to a SAN, along with the RAID card. Since only the NIC, CPUs, and RAM will be running in the system; is it alright to install the 850W PSU (P/N 468929-003)?
I don't know much about electricity. The connectors on the PSU look the same, and the two Xeons, NIC, and RAM shouldn't draw the full 850W.
I just got back a t520 thin client and I want to reflash the bios as from a usb. But need help creating a bootable USB with the correct files to do this. Help. Right know when I turn on the device it come to no boot file drive found
Hello, i am having trouble running 16 bit applications on a hp 280 g2 (skylake cpu) with win 7 32 bit. All 16 bit applications freeze or dont even start, with ntvdm process stuck at high cpu usage. This pc needs to run older software.
Same problem as here:
http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c05125284&sp4ts.oid=6893846
The link above does not have a solution for a 280 g2 model. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I have tried updating bios. Didnt help.
Thanks.
Hello,
I have a problem with HP DC7800. The computer won't stay turned on when i turn him off, put him to sleep or put him to hibernate. It simply turns on after 3 seconds without me doing anything. The only thing i can do is unplug it from electricity.
I tried clearing CMOS but that didn't solve the issue. When i press F10 to get into BIOS, it says "entering setup" but then instead of actualy going to BIOS, it just continues with the boot, nothing i do will get me into BIOS.
Hello,
we are using HP T620 with ThinPro 5.2 to connect to our Citrix environment.
We have two commands set in registry
To 1)
We have set following registry value (command):
sudo halt
to the registry key:
root/ConnectionType/xen/connections/<UUID>/ afterStoppedCommand
The command works, but now everytime we want to restart or logoff the local user, this command will be execute and the device turns off.
To 2)
We have set following registry value (command):
bash -c "(sleep 300; wmctrl -lx | grep process-connection.Process-connection > /dev/null && sudo halt)&"
to the registry key:
root/ConnectionType/xen/connections/<UUID>/ beforeStartingCommand
This command works too, but this has an impact on our device status in HPDM. So every device which shuts down after five minutes is still ONLINE on our HPDM.
Any one has got similar functions and perhaps another solution?
Kind regards
Lukas
I was currently handed a 128GB SM951 (AHCI version and not the NVME version) M.2 SSD drive from a friend who is upgrading and i want to try install it on my Z800 and use as a boot drive.
I have bought this adapter which currently works in having it in the PCIE slot:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/LyCOM-DT-120-Lycom-PCI-e-Adapter/dp/B00MYCQP38
But when trying to install windows 10 on it, the drive shows up on the HD selection screen but it wont actually let me install Win10 onto it? it says something regarding the HD controller and to check settings in the BIOS, which i near enough tried every combination of settings possible and it still comes up with the same error.
I believe that it may be some sort of UEFI issue? but then i noticed that another user had managed to get the SM951 working on another Z800 workstation. Does anybody know how i may solve this issue? Thanks
Hello,
I'm facing a problem with a All-in-One desktop machine (HP EliteOne 800 G2) with no serial port available.
I need to debug some at kernel/driver level, so I need something as simple as a serial port.
IMPORTANT: I must insist on the fact that I have no choice but to use that machine.
So my options are :
So I configured AMT and I'm able to connect to the machine on TCP port 16992 (HTTP).
And after that I enabled Serial-on-LAN (SOL), both in AMT and in the UEFI to choose either ANSI or VT100.
Intel documentation says that when SOL is active TCP port 16994 should be opened and waiting for a connection from a program like amtterm (under Linux), but this is not the case.
It seems that AMT is half there or I missed something (like the right combination of settings).
As explain in a previous post [1] I need a way to debug at kernel/driver level.
So one of the option is to use XHCI DbC Capability on target and A-to-A cable to the host. I found the soon-to-be-released driver for Linux and patch the kernel [2]. But it failed to detected the cable insertion.
So I took the XHCI specification to understand how this is working, but it didn't help much. And the author of the patch wasn't able to help me.
One last option is to try with Windows [3], but I don't have access to the debug version.
Does anyone of you already tried such a thing ?
Thanks a lot
